Illegal Drugs

The campus of California Lutheran University has been designated "drug free." The possession, sale, manufacture or distribution of any controlled substance is illegal under both state and federal laws. Such laws are strictly enforced by the Thousand Oaks Police Department, Residence Life and Campus Safety.

Possession of paraphernalia is also a violation of the University drug policy and includes any object that contains the residue of an illegal drug or narcotic, and/or any object that is used in the consumption or distribution of an illegal drug. All drugs and/or paraphernalia will be confiscated and/or destroyed.

Under the influence of illicit drugs is also considered a violation of University policy. Additionally, drug-related posters, stickers, caps or lights may not be displayed in residence hall windows or outside doors.

Violators are subject to University disciplinary action, criminal prosecution, fine and imprisonment.
