“Being in Oxford was incredible, and different from anything else I have ever experienced. You are constantly being challenged and growing intellectually, while being surrounded by beautiful architecture and nature. When I FaceTimed my mom, she told me I was glowing.”

Ethan Craig, Senior
Studied Abroad in Aberdeen, Scotland
Major: Business Administration, Innovation and Entrepreneurship
"Studying Abroad exceeded all expectations. I left my time in Scotland with a wider view of the world and how people in different cultures are both different from us and yet so similar. I made some of the strongest friendships of my life with people from so many different countries. Even though I had never left the country before the trip, I now will be a regular traveler!"
You can contact Ethan at Ecraig@callutheran.edu.
Leilani Horowitz, Senior
Studied Abroad in Oxford, England
Majors: German and Global Studies | Minor: Dance
"I could not have asked for a better opportunity to travel abroad. I made great friends, experienced new cultures, was challenged in fun ways, and got to visit so many cool places and see pieces of history that are older than my own country. It's almost indescribable in how amazing studying abroad is."
You can contact Leilani at Lhorowitz@callutheran.edu.
Kailee Ortega, Junior

Major: Liberal Studies in Education | Minor: TESOL
"Challenge yourself! It is so important for personal growth to make yourself uncomfortable and try new things. I was scared when I first got there, but I kept an open mind which helped me to meet some of my best friends and have one of the best experiences of my life."
You can contact Kailee at Kaileeortega@callutheran.edu.
Jonathan Cejoco, Junior
Studied Abroad in Oxford, England
Majors: Music Composition and Computer Information Systems
"I was a little unsure of my choice to study abroad, but once I did, I had absolutely no regrets. Hands down one of the best choices I've ever made. I made lifelong friendships, and grew both as a student and as a human being. I could fill a whole book with all of our adventures and memories, but even if I did, the value of studying abroad goes beyond any words I could ever write."
You can contact Jonathan at Jcejoco@callutheran.edu.
Sarah Bjornson, Junior
Studied Abroad in Sydney, Australia
Major: Exercise Science
"Studying abroad has proven to be the best decision I have ever made. Everyday I was given a new opportunity to challenge myself and grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually. As someone who is a thrill seeker and constantly lives outside my comfort zone, I was able to find an environment with my study abroad peers that I thrived in, where there were new adventures everyday and heaps of traveling to be done. If you are thinking about studying abroad, remember this: nobody regrets studying abroad but everyone who does not study abroad regrets it. "
You can contact Sarah at Sbjornson@callutheran.edu.
Millennia Gamez, Junior

Majors: Political Science and Psychology | Minor: Spanish
"Take advantage of every opportunity! Explore, travel, get lost too, it is all part of life and leads to the absolute best memories. No matter how scared, nervous, or shy you may be, once you take part in an experience such as studying abroad in a brand new country you will come back a changed person. The growth that I experienced was not only academically and professionally, but personally as well. I made the absolute best friends while in the program and am so thankful for everything I got to experience."

Kylie Kwak, Sophomore
Studied Abroad in Auckland, New Zealand
Majors: Global Studies and Music
"For anyone wanting to study abroad, take the risk! Don't get too caught up in the technicalities of transfering credits or having the perfect schedule because, otherwise, you will end up turning down a life-changing experience. Studying abroad in New Zealand was the best decision I ever made. Not only did I get to see some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, but I was able to learn more about the Māori and Pacific cultures, experience a different type of learning environment, and form long-lasting friendships with others outside of the continental US. I would trade everything I have to go back and live there long term."
