Additional Steps for Loans
If you, or your parent, are planning to borrow Federal Direct Loans, there are additional
steps that must be completed by the July 1 priority deadline to ensure that your loan monies will be credited to your student account. For further
instruction, click buttons below:
If you would like to change your decision at a later date on a particular offer, please contact the Financial Aid Office. Please allow at least 72 hours before contacting the Office of Financial Aid to confirm completion of all loan application steps.
When reviewing your Financial Aid Offer, please remember the following:
Your offer is based on full-time enrollment (12 to 18 units) each semester. If you do not enroll full-time, you will lose all institutional gift aid (i.e., academic scholarships), and State and Federal funds will be decreased. You must be enrolled in at least six units each semester to receive federal student loans.
Satisfactory Academic Progress
To receive financial aid, you must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) toward completing your degree. SAP is defined as maintaining a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher, completing at least 67% of all attempted units, and not exceeding 186 attempted units overall. If you fail to maintain SAP, you may be in jeopardy of not receiving financial aid. More details on SAP.
