Almost Maine

Almost Maine is a comedy featuring a series of vignettes about the inhabitants of a fictional town in northern Maine. Each scene features a "magical moment" such as the "other shoe" literally dropping from the sky, a woman who carries her broken heart that has turned to stone in a paper bag, and a man who cannot feel pain even when hit in the head with an ironing board. The play examines themes of love and loss and is very popular among college campuses around the country.
