Faculty Guest Speaker

Faculty can apply for guest speaker grants. The speaker must address issues related to one of these topics:

  • U.S. minority groups
  • International issues
  • Social justice

Grants are awarded on a first come, first served basis.

Campus Diversity Mini-Grants

Campus members can apply for mini-grants to fund creative campus diversity programs that further the objective of developing a more responsive, inclusive, and welcoming campus community.

Better World Project Grants for Students

Express yourself!  If you’re a creative person who is passionate about social justice and is looking to add to your portfolio, the CDI is providing an outlet to display your talents in creative ways to express your advocacy for diversity, inclusion and equity through graphic design, theater, art, film, music, spoken word, dance, etc.  The Campus Diversity Initiative will sponsor your project with mini-grants ranging from $50 to $200 to purchase supplies and to help put your project on display.

Faculty Development Mini-Grants

The purpose of each mini-grant is to enhance the understanding and appreciation of multiculturalism, diversity, or global society at Cal Lutheran.

We accept faculty mini-grant applications for the following:

Professional development projects

These grants are for up to $1,000 and can be used for:

  • Civic engagement
  • Pedagogy
  • Course development
  • Research-related materials
  • Research assistants
  • Conferences
