Mr. Cronin serves as the Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer for iPayment, Inc., a $750 million payment processing company located in Westlake Village, CA. In this role he has transitioned the HR function from an entirely outsourced model to an in-house, employed staff functional department. He has been instrumental in rebuilding the iPayment executive team and in leading a major culture change to one based on accountability and customer service and focused on driving results.

Prior to joining iPayment Mr. Cronin was Vice President of Human Resources Operations for Caritas Christi Health Care, a seven hospital, 13,000 employee non-profit healthcare system in Boston, MA. In this capacity he oversaw a team of fifty HR professionals and provided full business-partner support for the entire health care system. He served as the senior HR advisor to the hospital and lab CEO’s and Leadership Teams and provided leadership for Corporate HR initiatives across the full spectrum of Human Resource functions.

Prior to Caritas Christi Health Care, Mr. Cronin was the Vice President of Human Resources for Cape Cod Healthcare, Inc. where he led the HR team in support of a 5,000 employee entity comprised of two acute care hospitals, two long-term care facilities, a system-wide medical lab organization and a Visiting Nurse Association. He has had extensive experience in labor relations having worked with the Massachusetts Nurses Association and the SEIU, establishing strong working relationships with the leadership of both organizations. He was instrumental in leading the implementation of a highly successful HR Advisor model in which HR generalists were assigned to specific functional areas of the organization and responsible for providing full HR support.

Mr. Cronin’s early experience includes HR leadership roles within multiple organizations and industries, consulting and teaching roles, and several unique assignments as a Captain in the United States Army.

He holds an M.S. in Leadership from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and a B.S. in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY.
