About

Dana Rouse, mezzo-soprano, received her Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Biola University and her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the Eastman School of Music. She has performed musical theater and operatic roles in Los Angeles, Cincinnati and Rochester, NY. She has also appeared as a solo oratorio artist in many works including Brahms’ Alto Rhapsody, Verdi’s Requiem and Handel's Messiah. Dana has a love for teaching and has run the Rouse Music Studio for more than 23 years. She has also taught voice at State University of New York in Fredonia, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, as well as general vocal music at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School and Oaks Christian Middle School. Dana has been a member of the Eastman-Rochester Chorus, Cincinnati Opera Chorus, and Los Robles Master Chorale. She is honored to have been a member of Arete since 2011. Dana currently serves as Executive Director of Los Robles Children’s Choir in Westlake, CA.
