2021 U.S. Latino GDP Report is published

Once again, the Center for Economic Research and Forecasting (CERF) is making us incredibly proud. After months of incredibly intense work, Matthew Fienup (Executive Director) and Dan Hamilton (Director of Economics) have recently published not only eight different State Level Latino GDP reports as part of contract work for Bank of America, but also the 2021 U.S. Latino GDP Report. The 2021 report confirmed the immense contributions the LatinX cohort makes to the U.S. economy. If Latinos living in the US were an independent country, their GDP would represent the 7th largest economy in the world, ahead of countries such as Italy, Brazil or South Korea, in annual growth surpassed only by China and India in the decade after 2010. Taken together, the Latino population of the eight states covered in CERF's most recent study - Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York and Texas, would form the second largest state economy of the U.S., second only to California. The results of their important work were presented last week at L'Attitude, the largest event of its kind for the LatinX community in the USA, recently also referred to as the "Davos for Latinos", comparing it with the World Economic Forum.
