  • Academic Difficulty Notices (ADNs) for Traditional Undergraduates: The official reporting period for ADNs will begin on Wed., Feb. 8. The timing of the request is to help identify the students who might be struggling and provide early intervention. Please submit unsatisfactory grades for your students who are earning a C- or below through WebAdvisor between Feb. 8-17. Only one submission per student in a particular class is requested during this timeframe. The Center for Student Success will reach out to these students and offer support. Keep in mind that last day to withdraw with a "W" is April 6.   • Fall 2016 course evaluations are available! To access your reports, begin by logging into the system at http://courseval.callutheran.edu with your Cal Lutheran username and password.  When you login you will see a message that says, “There are no recent reports available to you.”  This message is showing because all of the course evaluations have closed.  There are two ways you can access your report.  Either click on the link that says, “Click here to view past reports” or hover over the Reports tab and choose Evaluation reports.  Once in the Evaluation Reports screen, please make sure the Year drop-down is set to 2016 and the Period drop-down is set to the correct semester/term (16/FA – Fall Semester; 16/FA/A – Fall Term, 16/OM/2 = Online Term 2). 
     
  • Adjunct and Faculty overload contracts for the Spring Semester were mailed on Fri., Jan. 20. If your enrollment goes up after the first day of classes, or you add a tutorial, you will need to notify Karissa Oien at koien@callutheran.edu for your contract to be updated. The contracts are paid out February through May.

  • Paul B. Thompson, W.K. Kellogg Professor of Agricultural, Food and Community Ethics at Michigan State University, will present the Harold Stoner Clark Lectures onTues., Feb. 21 at 11:10 am on “Four Archetypes for Future Food Systems” and at 4:00 pm on “Social Amplification of Risk: The Ethical Questions,” both in Samuelson Chapel. A pre-lecture discussion will take place on Fri., Feb. 17 from 11:45-12:45 in Lundring. The goal of this discussion is to provide faculty, staff, and students with a familiarity of the topics of the HSC lectures so that they may be more enjoyable and understandable.
