Announcements for the week of March 27, 2017

  • Save the Date: Honors Convocation, Tues., Apr. 25, 11:15am, Samuelson Chapel. Note: We will be on Convocation Schedule with classes ending at 11:00am and resuming at 12:40pm. Dr. Judith (Quentmeyer'69) Irvin, the 2017 Outstanding Alumni Award recipient, will give the keynote address, and the President's Award for Teaching Excellence recipient will be announced. Regalia will NOT be worn and faculty will not be processing. Faculty will have reserved seating on the right side of the Chapel. Please arrive early, as reserved seats will be released 5 minutes before the Convocation begins.
     
  • Center for Academic Service Learning (CASL): Nominations are currently being accepted for the CASL Director position, carrying a three-year term of service commencing Fall 2017. All full-time faculty members are eligible to apply. Please direct nominations or questions to Grady Hanrahan (ghanraha@callutheran.edu) by April 7, 2017.

  • Traditional Undergraduate registration appointments for Fall 17 are Mar. 27-Apr. 3.Student registration appointments are from 5:00 pm-8:30 pm each weekday evening. The Fall 17 class schedule was made available in WebAdvisor and Student Planningon Friday. Advisor registration approvals for Spring have been cleared.

  • CLU’s 6th annual Relay for Life is Sat., Apr. 1, 3pm to midnight in the Gilbert Sport and Fitness Center.  You can contribute in many different ways:
    • Join a team and participate in the relay by walking laps, helping at the team’s table or helping to make other tables a success (each table has an activity).  It’s fun for kids as well!
    • Contribute to the team by making a donation.
    • Dedicate a luminaria to honor someone who has experienced cancer.
    • Encourage your colleagues and friends to support the event as well.

  • Graduate and Professionals Students and Faculty are invited to The Graduate and Professionals Student Council Networking Event, Fri., Apr. 7, 6:00 -8:00 pm in the Student Union. President Kimball will be the guest of honor and all students in attendance have the chance to win a $200 credit towards graduation costs for this May or textbooks for the fall. Pizza will be served and we encourage students to bring their families and friends, as well as their business cards or contact information to help build networks for the future.
