Our athletics teams need a powerful visual symbol that can work with both our men’s and women’s team names, unifying Kingsmen and Regals under a single mark. This new mark draws from some of the university’s early logos to create a modern take on a long-standing tradition and convey traits such as honor, courage, strength and victory.
What is a Spirit Mark?
A Spirit Mark is an identity system designed specifically for athletics and other school spirit applications. It is closely tied to our team names.
It is separate from our primary Master Brand identity system, which is for institutional and academic use.
Who can use the Spirit Mark?
The Spirit Mark system is reserved for use in Athletics, Student Life, Alumni Relations, and other school spirit applications. This will not replace existing uses of the Master Brand identity, nor are they interchangeable.
Use of both a primary mark and a spirit mark is a common practice within higher education:
