“The Defining Decade” Book Group

“The Defining Decade” Book Group

Join us in our discussion of the topics of this bestselling book authored by Dr. Meg Jay, a clinical psychologist specializing in young adult development. Told by our culture that “30 is the new 20”, young adults put off making important career and life decisions until they feel more confident because they believe there’s plenty of time to figure things out.

In this provocative book, Jay flips this widely-held notion. Young adulthood is the time to reinvent yourself by making decisions that will lay the groundwork for your career and who you want to be later in life. She gives advice for how to re-claim adulthood in the defining decade of their lives. We will discuss "identity crisis", building your network of relationships, succeeding in your first job, and more!

Come discuss this topic with a CLU Career Counselor and learn more about how you can incorporate these lessons into your life.
