Transfer Achievement Interview Day

Students must meet the following eligibility criteria to be invited to the Transfer Interview Day.

1. Be a Transfer applicant with a minimum of 30 transferable units at the time of application review.
2. Submit a complete Transfer application by our February 15th Priority Application Deadline and be admitted to Cal Lutheran.
   1. A completed application includes the Transfer application, all required transcripts, and a letter of recommendation. 
3. Meet invite qualifications (eligible students will be notified by the admission office upon review of their application).

February 15, 2026

Submit your application for admission and all supporting documentation by February 15th in order to be considered for the Transfer Achievement Scholarship. Your application is considered complete when we have received:

• A completed Transfer Application
• Personal statement
• Letter of recommendation
• Official transcripts from all colleges you have attended

March 2026

• Eligible candidates will be invited via email to attend Transfer Achievement Day.
• Transfer Achievement day consists of various sessions including an individual interview with one member of the Cal Lutheran community. Each interview will last approximately 20 minites. 
• All candidates will also be asked to complete a writing sample during the event. A prompt will be provided on the day of the interview.

Students invited to attend Transfer Interview Day must register online to let Cal Lutheran know they would like to attend. There will be a limited number of virtual interview options for students who are not local and/or not able to attend on the selected interview date. Space is limited for this program. 

Attire:

Students are encouraged to wear professional attire that will give you confidence as you complete your interview.  

The Interview:

The interview is an effort to get to know each student better. The interviewers will not be asking questions designed to mislead or confuse students. Questions are likely to revolve around activities and interests; books, journals, or articles read outside of the classroom; current events happening in the world today; and an inspirational person.
