All students, faculty, and staff are invited to celebrate Cal Lutheran Cares Day.  Because of your participation and support, Cares Day is our largest fundraising event of the year. It is a time when donors express their confidence in the work you do that serves the mission of the university. 

 

We have some fun activities planned for you to enjoy!  Members of the Cares Day Team will be stationed near the Enormous Luther, aka "Gumby" statue to host the following:  

9:00 - 10:00 am

Cares Day Launch (at Enormous Luther)

• Faculty, staff, and students can enjoy donuts courtesy of Donut Depot and participate in Cares Day (while supplies last).  
• All Cares Day donors will receive a ticket for a chance to participate in live opportunity drawings.

12:00 - 2:00 pm

Cares Day Camaraderie Lunch (in the Pepper Grove)

• El Taco Food Truck will provide lunch to the first 150 attendees.
• Spin the Cares Day Wheel for Cal Lu SWAG and participate in fun contests, games, and activities, i.e., Corn Hole, Hula Hoops & more!
• Make a gift (minimum $10) to the Cal Lutheran Community Cupboard and in recognition, receive a ticket for the El Taco Food Truck and a ticket for the live opportunity drawing.  This gift will not be tax deductible. El Taco lunch will be for the first 150 attendees.

3:30 - 4:00 pm

Mission Control Update - The Home Stretch (at Enormous Luther)

• Check-in on the day’s fundraising totals.
• Moon Pies and Ice-Cream for the first 100 attendees.
• Opportunity Drawing for restaurant and entertainment gift cards including, Dave & Buster’s, California Pizza Kitchen, Lazy Dog, Sharky’s Wood Fired Mexican Grill, Go Fish Sushi, Market Broiler, Allegros Pizza, Cisco’s Mexican Restaurant, Starbucks, Olive Garden, Bandits Grill & Bar, MOD Pizza, Chop It Up!, Bluefin Grill & Sushi, SUBZERO NITROGEN ICE CREAM, The Flying Yolk, Beauty Secrets Nail Salon & Foot Spa, Red’s Barbecue & Grillery, As You Wish Pottery Painting Place, and Wood Ranch just to name a few. Live opportunity drawing tickets will be distributed until 3:30pm.
