Students in the Bachelor’s Degree for Professionals Program

Hello Cal Lutheran community!
My name is Jess Waddell and I proudly serve as the Director of the Bachelor’s Degree for Professionals program in the School for Professional and Continuing Studies. I’m also an academic counselor and am so grateful to have the opportunity to connect and forge meaningful relationships with our students.
I am continually inspired by the resilience, grit, and persistence demonstrated by every one of our students, who are all working students balancing the various demands of school, work, and family life. Amidst the uncertainty of this pandemic, they have rallied and remained dedicated to accomplishing their educational and personal goals while facing enormous challenges including health concerns and job loss.
I am so humbled by their motivation to persist during these trying times. For all of you who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree, tending to family members and responsibilities, and even acting as interim teachers, we’re all here to support you!
