I attended CLC in 1965 to 1969 as a PE major. There were not too many of us women PE majors in those years! We had a volleyball team, a basketball team, and track and field team, we weren’t great, but tried hard! In fact, my claim to fame is that I still hold a record at CLU in the 300 meter hurdles that is no longer an event!! Then in the mid seventies, I was an assistant coach in track for a season. I brought my two toddler children with me to practices and meets, they were like the team mascots running all around!! The rest of the story, and the best part, is that my son, Brady Day, ran Cross Country and Track and Field at CLU from 1990 to 1994, and was also an assistant coach for both sports from 1994 to 2000! A CLC/CLU sports legacy!!
