Though my track and field experience was short it did come with meeting my best friends and led me to be an even better coach for the high schoolers I’ve had the pleasure of coaching for six years! I’m so thankful I have a career that allows me to leave work in order to coach. Three years post grad and I love my life-working full time as an Utility Arborist (within my field of study at CLU) which has brought me to the most beautiful locations within the Bay Area, and coaching at a private school-The Kings Academy where I get to coach kids from 11-18 and see them grow into amazing humans with bright futures. I also volunteer as a CASA where I help children in foster care without consistent representation and get to represent them in life, from school teachers and classes to appearing in court for these precious people. My experience with CLU track has taught me what not to do whereas CLU swim and dive taught me about patience with the students, how to help them break out of their shells, and push themselves. I loved CLU and wouldn’t trade it for the world. It’s led me here! Even through the pandemic I’ve been so thankful to be able to run with my favorite people (picture The Kings Academy cross country athletes 2021 season) masks included!
