I am a proud Cal Lutheran double alum and staff member! My experiences as a student at Cal Lutheran inspired me to live my purpose as an educator and counselor. After several years working in K-12 as a School Counselor, the opportunity to return to Cal Lutheran arose and I couldn’t pass up the chance to give back and work at Call Lutheran. I applied and was hired as an Academic Advisor in the then, Adult Degree Evening Program (ADEP). I immediately fell in love with the students in this program – their grit, determination, and sheer tenacity inspired me! Ten years later, I have seen so many wonderful, exciting changes to the program, including becoming our very own school, the School for Professional & Continuing Studies, just last year. I now have the honor of serving our students as the Associate Director and Academic Counselor in the Bachelor’s Degree for Professionals program (formerly ADEP) within the school. Each day, our students still inspire me to continue to do the work I do and wouldn’t be able to do so without the support of our awesome team! Thank you Cal Lutheran for not only providing me with an education and lifelong friends and memories, but for providing the space to find my purpose and give back to the university I love and our incredible students!
