My name is Camden Hyde and I am a first year student here at California Lutheran. I am a Jesus follower, basketball player, track and field jumper, dedicated student, and friend. The search for the right school last year was difficult but I chose Cal Lu because of the opportunity to make myself better in each of these areas, not just one. I believe the balance that CLU provides has led me to become the best version of myself. In one day, I can go from being challenged on a philosophy exam, to working on my game in the gym, and wrapping up the night with a Bible study in an amazingly diverse group of people. Many people go into college with the hopes of achieving the one goal of graduation but my experience at Cal Lu in just the first year has taught me to reach for so many more. Every part of the student experience here matters and CLU is helping me succeed each new day.
