This Story is about United Equity and Justice Collective

Part of my internship with the Center for Cultural Engagement and Inclusion involves working with representatives from our affiliated affinity clubs (through our United Equity and Justice Collective) to fund DEIJ (diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice)initiatives and programs. To highlight a few of their accomplishments this past year, the UEJC funded a hair care basket to provide easier access to products for our students with more kinky or coily hair, provided funds for a Black Mentorship Program that will be established next fall, and put money towards an accessible entrance to the building and the restroom on the 2nd floor of our Student Union.

It has been a great pleasure to work with my advisors and peers and we are looking forward to our board of 9 delegates during the 24-25 academic year. Our work and contribution to campus is made possible by donations to the Student Equity and Inclusion fund on Care’s day. If you are willing and/or able, I would greatly appreciate any support or donation toward this fund.
