About

Los Angeles based designer Noelle Claire Raffy has been an accomplished freelance designer for over 20 years. She was educated at Otis College of Art and Design, BFA and has her MFA from Carnegie Mellon University in Costume Design.

Noelle has worked on a wide range of films like Robin Hood, Adventureland, Bridge to Nowhere, Shelter and Oscar nominated The Road. Commercials for Weight Watchers, Oral B, Cadbury, Samsung and Quaker Oats as well as clients like Warner Brothers, Universal Studios, Ridley Scott Films and MTV are all a part of her portfolio of work. She continues to work with the English National Ballet School, The Tricycle Theatre, and Academy Costumes in London.

Her designs for the play The Birds were exhibited in the Prague Quadrennial (2007). She designed costumes for The Orestia Trilogy, which was voted "Best Play of 2007" by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. While at Otis College, she was awarded the Rudi Gernreich Scholarship by the Fashion Group International of Los Angeles.

Noelle continues to work in local and regional theater (Utah Festival Opera, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, 5-Star Theatricals) as well as shares her passion through teaching. Noelle has been a Designer /Lecturer at University of California, Riverside, L.A. City College, and Idyllwild Arts. Currently, she is Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts and Dance, Costume Design at California Lutheran University.
