How to Apply
Apply for the ASCENSO Hispanic Fellowship program by March 13, 2026.
- Determine whether you're applying for a research fellowship to work your own research topic or an internship working on a partner organization's research project.
- Review the application in full and prepare your documents:
- A letter of recommendation (internship) or a commitment letter from your faculty mentor. These documents can be collected and uploaded with your application, or sent by the faculty member directly to lmunoz@CalLutheran.edu by the application deadline.
- Your resume or CV.
- Submit your application by the deadline.
If shortlisted, you will be asked to participate in a 30-minute Zoom interview.
The deadline to apply is March 13, 2026.
Applicant Criteria
- The student’s motivation to become an ASCENSO Fellow is in alignment with the purpose of the program.
- The student demonstrates commitment to social justice, education and community building.
- Applicant demonstrates competence to carry out research through academic achievement, educational background and experience.
- The student must provide a Letter of Recommendation from a Cal Lutheran faculty member, unless they have a faculty member who has committed to mentoring your research project, in which case you must provide a Commitment Letter from them with your application.
- The application is free from distracting errors.
