Convocator Nomination Scholarship
Made possible by the generosity of donors who deeply value religious faith, a limited number of scholarships in the amount of $2,500 will be awarded each year to first-year and transfer students who demonstrate the principles of Cal Lutheran's mission, thereby exhibiting confidence in their identity and vocation. The scholarship is renewable for subsequent years.
To be eligible for the Convocator Nomination Scholarship, the student must meet the following provisions:
- Admitted to Cal Lutheran
- Full-time, traditional undergraduate student (12+ units per semester)
- Nominated by a Convocator
- Active participants and leaders within their and the Convocators’ respective faith community
Recipients of the Convocator Nomination Scholarship who are eligible for other Cal Lutheran academic scholarships are able to receive both scholarships during the award year as long as all combined aid does not exceed the total costs of tuition and fees.
If you are interested in the Convocator Nomination Scholarship but aren't sure what to do next, you can request to have a Convocator contact you and your pastor or religious leader. Please note that the deadline for a Convocator to submit a nomination for the upcoming academic year is March 1st. In order to be considered for the scholarship, please submit your request for a Convocator contact by February 15.
