University Chapel: Dreams on the Move
This Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in University Chapel, you are invited to pause from the pace of the day, gather as a community, and enter into a time of reflection as we explore Dreams on the Move—considering the intersections of immigration and faith.
We are honored to welcome Dr. Julia Fogg, Professor of Religion at California Lutheran University, who will guide us in reflecting on stories of movement. Together, we will consider what it means to be a people shaped by faith in a world where journeys are often marked by uncertainty, courage, and longing for home.
Following Chapel, you are invited to remain in the Narthex for a brief Post-Chapel conversation with VCDefensa, a coalition of local organizations dedicated to protecting the immigrant and refugee population in Ventura County. This 15–20 minute engagement will offer insight into services supporting immigrant communities and offer tools for building safer, more informed, and more compassionate communities.
All are welcome to this time of reflection, learning, and shared responsibility.
This event is part of the Campus Ministry series.
