Travel and Lodging

Travel and accommodations must be arranged by the participants themselves.

The best airport for international travel is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Domestic flights and connections may also use Burbank (BUR), or perhaps the most charming of them all, Santa Barbara (SBA), which are both about an hour from campus (depending on traffic). Airport transfers (by shuttle or rideshare) must be organized by the participants themselves. Rental cars are readily available at LAX and BUR. Parking is easy on campus and in Thousand Oaks. Domestically, Greyhound (bus) and Amtrak (train) are also economical options.

Participants may stay in on-campus housing or in a near-by hotel.

Staying on campus, for $25 dollars a night, participants can experience on-campus living – simple, spartan, clean and within walking distance to all activities, including the pool (special guest passes available for the congress participants for a small fee).

On-campus housing can be booked directly with CLU. For Further information and registration, see Registration.

As an alternative, nearby hotels welcome guests with a reduced fee (negotiated for the duration of the congress).  Most of the hotels offer breakfast, a pool, and a gym. Ground transportation will be needed – a car, rideshare, or congress shuttle (to be provided for some of the events).

Further information and registration links coming, January 2021.

Meals and Food

In addition to evening receptions, light snacks will be provided mid-morning and mid-afternoon. Food will be available for purchase both on and off campus. For pre-purchased meal options, see Registration. Further information and recommendations coming, Spring 2021.
