  • International Education Week - Feb. 11-15:
    • Center for Global Engagement (CGE) Open House: Mon., Feb. 11, 2-4pm. Light refreshments will be served. The CGE is located across the breezeway from the Student Union.

  • Town Hall: A Conversation with Academic Affairs, Wed., Feb. 13, 2:30-3:45pm, Lundring.
     
  • Academic Difficulty Notices for Traditional Undergraduates: The official reporting period for Academic Difficulty Notices (ADNs) begins Wed., Feb. 13. The goal is to have an early start in identifying the students who might be struggling. Please submit unsatisfactory grades for your students who are earning a C- or below through WebAdvisor between Feb. 13-Mar. 1. Only one submission per student in a particular class is requested during this time frame. Academic Services will reach out to these students and offer support until the last day to withdraw with a "W" (April 11).   • SABBATICAL DEADLINE – Fri., Feb. 15 is the deadline to submit your Request for Sabbatical Leave for the 2020-21 Academic Year. In order to be eligible for a sabbatical, faculty members must have completed six academic years of continuous service as a full-time member of the faculty, or have completed six years of continuous full-time service since May of their last sabbatical year. Access the new “Request for Sabbatical Leave” eForm: Sabbatical Request eForm for 2020-2021  Click here to access instructions for the eForm. These links can also be found on the Academic Affairs website under Faculty Resources and Forms. You will receive a confirmation email that your request has been submitted. If you do not receive this, you must contact Academic Affairs before the deadline as your request has NOT been received.   • Note to All Full-Time Faculty:  According to the faculty handbook, it is your responsibility to initiate application for promotion as you are eligible. If you are eligible and would like to apply for promotion next year you need to complete the Declaration and Peer Evaluator Form by Fri., Feb. 15. It can be found online Here (you will need to log in with your CLU username and password first – the form begins by entering your Chair and Dean information). You will receive a confirmation email once it has been submitted. If you have any questions, contact Karissa Oien atkoien@callutheran.edu.
     
  • Senior Adjunct Status and Application Process: If you are eligible and would like to apply for promotion to Senior Adjunct effective Fall 2019, please complete the application in the link by Fri., Feb. 15Declaration and Self-Assessment for Promotion to Senior AdjunctEligibility: Have taught at least one course each year for 6 years within a 10 year timeframe. Your department chair or program director will need to observe you in the classroom, so please be aware that will happen this semester. Department chairs will submit their recommendation by Apr. 15 which will be reviewed and approved by the Dean and Provost. You will be notified of the decision in July.   • Alumni & Family Relations is currently accepting Student Ambassador applicationsfor the 2019-2020 academic year! Student Ambassadors work directly with the office of Alumni and Family Relations to positively represent the student body to alumni, donors and other VIPs of the university at special events on and off campus.
