- Grantwriting Academy: The next workshop in the Grantwriting Academy, titled “Do the Dollars Make Sense? Allowable Spending & Budget Development,” will help you understand the ins and outs of developing a budget for your program or project. - Honors Convocation, Tues., Apr. 30, 11:15am, Samuelson Chapel. We will be on Convocation Schedule with classes ending at 11:00am and resuming at 12:40pm. Outstanding Alumni Award Recipient, Dr. Tracy M. Downs '88, will give the keynote address (click here to view bio), faculty receiving promotion and/or tenure in Fall 2019 will be recognized, and the President's Award for Teaching Excellence recipient will be announced. Please note: In order to highlight the importance of our faculty at this prestigious academic event, regalia will be worn and faculty will meet at Gumby to process. Regalia ordered from the bookstore by March 20, can be used for both Honors Convocation and Commencement.

Please let us know by Thurs., April 11 so that we can recognize you at the Provost’s Reception for faculty authors and grant recipients during Festival of Scholars. ALSO, save the date for the Provost’s Reception, which will be held Tues., April 30, at 5 pm in the William Rolland Gallery of Fine Art. Please email Roni Hooper at rhooper@callutheran.edu with a brief synopsis of your published book or illustrated work and the date of publication. If you have a photo file of your book cover, please forward that as well.
