Entertainment Industry Panel

Interested in being in the entertainment industry? Learn more with PRSSA’s Entertainment Industry Panel. Professionals from the industry will be there to share their story and answer any questions. Speakers: 
Serena Zuniga, a Ventura, California native, graduated from California Lutheran University in 2022 with a degree in communication with an emphasis in public relations and advertising and a minor in multimedia. During her time at Cal Lutheran, Serena was involved as a Presidential Host, Peer Advisor, Cal Lutheran's student-run newspaper The Echo's Digital Content & Multimedia Editor and Managing Editor, and PRSSA's Public Relations Director and President. After interning at multiple agencies, Serena began her post-grad career in May 2022 as an Account Coordinator for talent and corporate communications at JONESWORKS, a bi-coastal public relations, marketing, and management agency that represents an elite roster of talent and brands.

Frankie Manes began acting at the age of 3 and has booked numerous national commercials, television shows, and films throughout his career. While studying Film at California Lutheran University, he began producing films and working with a wide variety of actors, celebrities, and influencers. He received an opportunity to do a brand deal and social media for a high­ profile actor after graduating. After discovering his talents with social media and a window of opportunity, he used his relationships and network to start his own social media, brand management, and production company- Media 43, Inc.

Chris Hanna hails from the dunes of Ventura, CA. He is perhaps the only person from his beachside hometown who doesn't know how to surf. But what he does know is how to craft a mean line of copy. After graduating from CLU with a Communications degree, Chris bartended his way through portfolio school and broke into the ad agency world as a copywriter. He's worked on brands like Honda, Marvel Games, Apartments.com, Epic Games, Bethesda, and Lucas Arts. Currently, he can be found pitching Celine Dion­ scored trailer ideas at Hammer Creative in LA. And no, he still does not know how to surf.

Zeyma Martinez landed a temp job in staffing at Universal Studios Hollywood shortly after graduating from CLU in 2021. This opened up her eyes to HR and the different departments within it. After many interviews and even more rejections, she got her current role, as a recruitment coordinator at Live Nation Entertainment. Recently, she went back to school to pursue her master's in HR Management at USC and hopes to continue her career path in the entertainment industry.
