Lindsey Carnett: CEO & President, Marketing Maven

Lindsey Carnett is the CEO and president of Marketing Maven, an award-winning global marketing and public relations firm she founded in 2009. After leading integrated communications campaigns for firms and private industries worldwide, she launched Marketing Maven to deliver measurable results and strategic brand growth for clients across diverse industries. With more than two decades of experience, Lindsey has earned national recognition for her leadership, innovation, and impact in the marketing and PR space.


Katherine Tangalakis-Lippert: Senior Reporter, Business Insider
M.A. Specialized Journalism; B.A. Communication with an Emphasis in Journalism
Katherine Tangalakis-Lippert is a senior reporter on Business Insider's West Coast team. She covers the food and restaurant industries, specifically companies such as Starbucks and McDonald's, as well as trending news. She's worked on award-nominated projects and has appeared on Good Morning America, NBC, CNN, and other outlets to discuss her reporting. Prior to joining Business Insider, she covered retail, hospitality, and nonprofits at the San Fernando Valley Business Journal and received a master's degree in investigative reporting from the University of Southern California.

Karie Portillo Guerra: Communications Manager/California Volunteers, Office of CA Governor Gavin Newsom
B.A. Communication with an Emphasis in Film & TV Production, Marketing Communication
Karie Portillo Guerra is a Communications Manager for California Volunteers in the Governor’s Office of Service and Community Engagement (GO-Serve), where she leads strategic messaging and media engagement to advance statewide public service initiatives. She oversees communications strategy that connects Californians to civic opportunities and amplifies the impact of service across the state. Previously, Karie served in senior communications and consulting roles within the California State Assembly, including as Communications Director and Senior Consultant. She served as Communications Director and Field Representative for Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin, leading in district communications, stakeholder engagement, and community partnerships across the 44th Assembly District. Throughout her career, she has built integrated media strategies, advised elected officials, and driven public-facing initiatives focused on civic engagement and community leadership. A graduate of California Lutheran University (‘17), Karie brings a disciplined, strategic approach to public service communications


Aliyah Mariah Navarro: Talent Manager and Content Specialist, PO3 Agency & a Photographer for multiple clients across Sports and Entertainment
Masters in Strategic Public Relations with an Emphasis in Sports and Entertainment, Public Relations and Applied Communication; B.A. Communication with an Emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising
Aliyah Mariah Navarro is a sports media and digital content professional specializing in strategic storytelling and audience engagement. She has contributed to digital product initiatives at the Los Angeles Lakers and National Football League, supporting content strategy and multi-platform audience growth. Her work reflects a strong understanding of fan behavior, emerging media trends, and brand development within the sports industry. Her background includes a foundation in journalism and communications, with experience in visual storytelling, including photography work featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers. Aliyah studied at California Lutheran University and the University of Southern California, where she strengthened her expertise in sports media strategy and business principles. She continues to build her career at the intersection of sports, storytelling, and digital innovation.
