Paris is Burning
March 31 is internationally recognized as Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV). The Center for Cultural Engagement and Inclusion would like to lift up the trans community and celebrate trans history.
Paris Is Burning is a 1990 American documentary film directed by Jennie Livingston. Filmed in the mid-to-late 1980s, it chronicles the ball culture of New York City and the African-American, Latino, gay, and transgender communities involved in it.
Attendees will receive a Trans Lives Matter Gumby sticker to show support and allyship as we work toward creating a more inclusive Cal Lu.
Cookies and tea will be provided.
