Providing Aids and Services
We recognize and value diversity in our campus community and are committed to providing equal access and opportunities to qualified students with various disabilities.
We provide comprehensive services in a manner that promotes respect and self-advocacy. In addition, we comply with university policy, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disability Act of 1990 with its amendments of 2008.
If you are a student needing to request accommodations, please register with us. We can discuss your disability-related requests for aids and services.
DSS is available for virtual or in-person appointments. Please let us know if you would like a virtual appointment via phone or an online platform like Zoom. We are typically not available for same day appointments.
We adhere to the University’s current policies, as well as the local and state regulations, regarding face masks. Due to the disability related needs of the students we serve, we are requesting that anyone who visits our office please wear a face mask. Any DSS student taking exams through our office, are required to wear a face mask as it is considered a learning space; face masks need to be worn properly with the mask fully covering both the nose and the mouth. This is the current University policy for this semester in compliance with University's strategies and may extend past this period. Visit The Know page for University updates.
