Going global from Finland

Finland is a land of entrepreneurs. Being a small country, all companies need to have a global focus from day one. Aki will describe the environment of entrepreneurship in Finland. With some examples he will discuss how to address international markets and describe what challenges you face with international markets.

About Aki Luukkainen
Aki Luukkainen is working as Senior Trade Commissioner in Los Angeles with a focus on finding customers, partners and investors for finnish companies in the West coast of the US. He has been working over 20 years in executive positions in international corporations and start up companies with businesses in Europe, USA, Asia, Middle East and Latin America. Previously he has been CEO of a renewable energy company, COO of a cleantech company in maritime business, VP of Sales and Marketing in international telecommunications business with a spin as an Entrepreneur in ICT business as well. He is also an active Investor and Mentor for startup companies.

He holds an MBA and M.Sc degrees from Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland.
