We met during summer classes in 1964, in the foyer of Beta Hall. I was taking a short cut using the stairs in the foyer over to a friends room wearing baby doll pjs, not expecting anyone to be IN the foyer (no one EVER was). Jerry was there visiting his cousin, Mavis Halweg, who was the telephone operator...he asked her who I was and could she please connect the phone line to that room.We were engaged in August and married on February 7, 1965. We were planning a Valentines wedding but my cousin got engaged first and stole that date!!! Writing this on our 54th Anniversary.
