Karen Ingram

Service to Alma Mater

Even though Karen graduated over 30 years ago, she has remained in close contact with her alma mater.  She has served on the Alumni Board of Directors and has been a member of CLU's Convocation since 1992.  She joined the Executive Committee of the Convocation in 1998 as an at-large Chair.  Karen has also spent many years on the Homecoming Committee, and is currently a class steward.  As Vice President of Lutheran Social Services, Karen spends a lot of time in the community, giving weekly sermons at congregations throughout Los Angeles and Ventura counties, coordinating the Conejo Valley Winter Shelter (which she also founded) and serving on the Board of the Lutheran Office of Public Policy.  When asked about her relationship with CLU, Karen says that it will always have a special place in her heart, and she continues to encourage students to attend her alma mater.
