Scholarship Recipients

My name is Cameron Alexander and I'm from Valencia, CA. I am grateful to be attending Cal Lutheran where I major in Liberal Studies in Education and swim for the Regals.

While at Valencia High School, I was a member of the Associated Student Body for 4 years, serving as freshman class vice president, senior class secretary and various group captains. I am proud to have co-founded the Holy Cannoli baking club and Swim for Change club. As a 4-year varsity swimmer, I served as Senior Captain and along with my teammates, we achieved 4 league titles. As a city lifeguard, I combine my love of teaching and swimming. The importance of this work is that I spread the word about water safety which saves many lives each year.

I am humbled with the CLA scholarship opportunity and grateful to be recognized as a leader by the Community Leaders Association. I look forward to continuing my education journey at Cal Lutheran and am excited to become a teacher, so I can give back to the community that has given me so much.

Greetings! My name is Abby Blom and I am a Junior studying Sports Management. My minors are Business Administration, French, and the University Honors Program

On campus, I serve as a member of the Associated Students of California Lutheran University (ASCLUG), General Manager of the CLU Hockey team, President of the Business of Sports Club, Campus Ministry student leader, and Forrest Fitness Center staff member. The Cal Lutheran community is a blessing. I look forward to continuous growth as a student, future-professional, and as a person. Until I graduate, the CLA Scholarship gift allows me to participate in many Cal Lutheran learning and experiential opportunities to prepare me for a successful future.

My sincerest gratitude goes out to the Community Leaders Association for helping to fund my educational journey, ultimately realizing my dream of working in Professional Sports Operations/Management.

I am a first-year undergraduate student majoring in Biology at California Lutheran University, where I am excited to be part of the community and exploring various opportunities in the sciences. I also have a passion for music and participate in both the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Combo. Also, I am a member of the Earth Club. 

My goal is to pursue a research career in the field of biology, with a focus to advance the representation of women in STEM.

My name is Gabriela Pullen and I am a Freshman at Cal Lutheran University. I am from the small town of Santa Margarita.

I wouldn't be able to attend CLU without my community’s generous help as I pursue my education. As a proud first-generation student, I am eager to start work toward my future career, using my double major in Liberal Studies and Theology and Christian Leadership with an emphasis in Youth and Family Ministries. My plan is to be an early education teacher, then a principal. Beyond these goals, I want to do missionary work. My religion is very important to me and without God I wouldn't be where I am today. After graduating CLU, I plan to return to Santa Margarita to give back to the community that gave so much so I could be here.

I value the importance of giving back to my supporters like my community and CLU’s CLA. Thank you Community Leaders Association for supporting me through this scholarship. 

My name is Isabella Ramirez and I am from the small town of Fillmore, California. Currently, I am a sophomore studying Political Science with an emphasis on Law & Public Policy, as well as a minor in Psychology. My involvement in several different extracurricular activities includes Resident Assistant, Secretary of Anti-Human Trafficking Club, Sophomore Senator, LASO member, Delight Ministries, and Jamba Juice student worker. In my free time, I love serving my local church, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.

My plans are to be successful this year and beyond, so I can be an attorney.
