• When securing clinical practice placements, cooperating teachers will receive a letter/email about clinical practice details and requirements, including TPE 7.

• Each semester, the department provides orientation meetings for mentor/cooperating teachers and university supervisors. The information provided at these meetings includes the TPEs 1-7 and Dyslexia Guidelines.

The DHH Candidate Handbook which includes information about TPE 7.6, 7.7, and 7.8 is available to students upon entering the program. The fall semester prior to their clinical practice, candidates attend an orientation discussing the DHH Clinical Handbookwhich includes new requirements for TPE 7.6, 7.7, and 7.8. Students are informed that they will be evaluated on these competencies using the DHH Clinical Evaluation and DHH Lesson Plan.
