Betsy Henderson Lutheran Educators Scholarship

The Betsy Henderson Lutheran Educators Scholarship is a tuition scholarship opportunity offering up to $15,750 for educators in the EdD program currently serving in Lutheran-affiliated schools/institutions/campuses who are aligned with the school’s vision: “Guided by social justice and advocacy, we will reimagine education to disrupt inequities and to meet the future needs of students and communities.”

In honor of Elizabeth “Betsy” Haas Henderson, this scholarship celebrates her lifelong commitment to service, education, and faith. A former Cal Lutheran Regent and dedicated Lutheran leader, Betsy worked to build inclusive communities around the world. Her legacy continues by supporting EdD students whose professional practice reflects the core values of Lutheran education. Recipients join a dynamic cohort of scholar-practitioners prepared to lead transformational change in schools and education systems.
