About the ELCA
Cal Lutheran is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). A member of the Lutheran World Federation, a community of Lutheran churches in 72 countries, the ELCA was formed in 1988 by the union of three North American Lutheran church bodies. The ELCA strongly promotes working in ecumenical ministries and projects.
