• Academic Difficulty Notices (ADNs) for Traditional Undergraduates:The official reporting period for ADNs begins this Wed., Feb. 8. The timing of the request is to help identify the students who might be struggling and provide early intervention. Please submit unsatisfactory grades for your students who are earning a C- or below through WebAdvisor between Feb. 8-17. Only one submission per student in a particular class is requested during this timeframe. The Center for Student Success will reach out to these students and offer support. Keep in mind that last day to withdraw with a "W" isApril 6. • SABBATICAL DEADLINE – Wed., Feb. 15 is the deadline to submit your Request for Sabbatical Leave for the 2018-19 Academic Year. In order to be eligible for a sabbatical, faculty members must have completed six academic years of continuous service as a full-time member of the faculty, or have completed six years of continuous full-time service since May of their last sabbatical year. Click here to access the new “Request for Sabbatical Leave” eForm.  Click here to access instructions for the eForm. • Paloma Vargas (HSI and Biology Department) and Kirstie Hettinga (Communication Department) are seeking first-generation faculty to participate in a video project that will provide “words of wisdom” to incoming and/or current first-generation students. The goal of the project is to 1. dispel any myths/misconceptions of first-generation college goers, 2. encourage students to talk to more faculty, 3. create an opportunity for students to learn via experiential learning, and 4. allow students to contribute to HSI efforts.
