I joined the Student Philanthropy Council, because I wanted to get more involved on campus and being part of SPC will allow me to not only develop skills but a chance to contribute to the community.

I joined SPC because not only did I want to be more engaged on campus, but I also wanted to meet new people, be a part of a team, and giving back to the university and community.

Why is the Student Philanthropy Council important?

“The Student Philanthropy Council is important because it provides an opportunity for students like myself to actively engage in philanthropic efforts and make a meaningful impact in our community. Through SPC, you can develop leadership skills, gain valuable experience in organizing and executing philanthropic initiatives, and contribute to the causes that you care about. It's a platform that empowers students to create positive change and foster a culture of giving.

Why do you think Student Philanthropy is important? 

Student Philanthropy is important for its inspiring approach of giving back to students. I believe all students can learn from philanthropic actions and learn about the importance of its positive effects. Through Student Philanthropy, a greater community is built and the initiative of giving continues through positive impact.

Why did you join the Student Philanthropy Council?

Student Philanthropy is important because it’s an opportunity for students to make a strong impact and benefitting our community for current and future students through the our philanthropic spirit and actions at Cal Lutheran.

Members serve as hosts and ambassadors for Cal Lutheran, get to learn about the importance of philanthropy to the Cal Lutheran community and beyond, and advocate for philanthropy among students! These students represent Cal Lutheran with the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and spirit.
