Vis-Po: Visual Poetry by Larkin Higgins

Line as language, ink as image and typography. These visual poems by CLU art professor and poet Larkin Higgins embody both diagrammatic elements and aesthetic intuition. Higgins’ artwork has been published and/or reviewed in The Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times, Antiques & The Arts Weekly (New York), U-TURN (Chicago), Artweek, Genre and L.A. Weekly among others. Her work is included in the permanent collections of the Armand Hammer Museum/Grunwald Collection, Laguna Beach Museum of Art, California Museum of Photography, Erie Art Museum, Sioux City Art Center, Special Collections/UCLA Charles E. Young Research Library, and elsewhere. Her poetry has been anthologized by University of Iowa Press, Fossil Press and other publishers.

Admission is free. Pearson Library is open Monday through Thursday from 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 p.m., Friday 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Saturday 10:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and Sunday 10:15 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.
