Take Back the Night

Take Back the Night is for California Lutheran University students, staff, and faculty and members of the local communities. Take Back The Night events have encouraged people to take a stand against sexual violence around the world for more than 30 years. Everyone is invited to watch performances by CLU students, participate in a candlelit walk, see CLU's Clothesline Project, and speak out. Resource tables, hosted by local community organizations as well as CLU organizations and departments, will be present beginning at 4:45 p.m. Michael Messner, Ph.D., Professor of Sociology and Gender Studies at University of Southern California, will deliver the keynote address. Dr. Messner's talk will focus on male activists and ending gender-based violence.

Buth Park is located near Mount Clef Stadium and Memorial Parkway. This event is free and open to the public.
