Loving as Madness in Film: 'Don Juan DeMarco'

Marlon Brando and Faye Dunaway co-star with Johnny Depp in this 1994 romantic comedy-drama that portrays love as a social aberration and psychotic fascination. Shortly before retiring, a psychiatrist encounters a man who has attempted suicide and who believes himself to be Don Juan, the fabled lover.

CLU psychology professors Jamie Bedics and Michael Gerson and political science professor Herb Gooch will lead the discussion following the film.

This is the first of two films dealing with the theme Loving as Madness. As Good as It Gets starring Jack Nicholson will be shown at 7 p.m. May 1.
