Senior Writers' Reading Reception

Senior Writers’ Reading Reception: As part of Cal Lutheran’s Community Outreach Mission, The Writing Center staff and select consultants have been working with three senior writers from the University Village Retirement Community on their memoirs and personal narratives. These writers have been visiting the Writing Center almost weekly for the past 18 months and each has produced a book length work in that time.

To celebrate their development and writing, the Writing Center has received a Community Leaders Association grant to host a Reading Reception for family and friends of the writers, invited guests and the community. During this reception, each writer will be reading from his or her revised memoirs and sharing life stories.
