Understanding Christian Nationalism
This talk will examine the intersection of religious identity and political ideology in contemporary America through the lens of Christian nationalism.
Charles Hall, PhD, has been researching Christian nationalism, a belief system that claims the United States was founded as a Christian nation and should uphold certain Christian values in public life. The lecture will explore key questions: What is it? Where did it originate? How is it measured? What beliefs and behaviors characterize it? And what might its future hold?
Hall is a professor of sociology at Pepperdine University.
