Manken Family Scholarship

For Teaching Credential students

Scholarships up to $10,000 are available for our full-time Teaching Credential students in the Graduate School of Education. They are made possible through the generosity of the Manken Family.

Scholarship Information

Dr. John R. Manken dedicated 40 years of distinguished service to elementary education, first in the classroom and then as a school principal. Following Dr. Manken’s death in 2012, Cal Lutheran received the largest scholarship bequest in its history. The Manken Family Scholarship is designated for credential students who have completed their foundations courses.

Eligibility Requirements
To be automatically considered for this scholarship you must:
  1. Complete a teaching credential application through the Office of Graduate Admission by the Priority Application Deadline.
  2. Complete your FAFSA by the Office of Graduate Admission's Priority Application Deadline.
  3. Enroll full-time in the Preliminary Teaching Credential, Education Specialist Credential, or Education Specialist Credential (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) program at Cal Lutheran
