Free e-Textbooks at Pearson Library

This semester sees students connecting to classes from across campus, across the country, and across the globe! Even though this has changed, the need for access to required course readings hasn’t. To support all of our students, we have worked on developing new ways to access your readings!

The first step is still the same: start by searching the Course Reserves Discovery Tool for your class. If an eBook is owned by the library, it will be listed in your course. You may also see directions to follow links to Internet Archive, Open Library, or OpenStax. These are all sources that can be used to access your textbook freely!

If you don’t see an eBook or free access link, have no fear. You can request access to any print reserve item using the Digitized Reserve Books Form! Through our Controlled Digital Library, students can access our reserve titles online. Based on statistics gathered from last year, we have already digitized our most popular titles. We can digitize more, though. You just need to let us know! Our ability to digitize new reserves may change during the semester, so keep an eye on our Library Alerts & Resources Guide for the most up-to-date information on Library Services!

Once a link has been sent to you, access to these scans will be available until 11:59 PST the next day.
