Wait for Degree Processing

Beginning in the semester or term that you complete all degree requirements, a processing timeline goes through three phases: degree conferral, degree posting, and diploma delivery.

Icon of forward-facing arrowDegree Conferral

This is the date recorded on your transcript that signifies when your degree is officially recognized.

All of your degree requirements must be met by this date in order for your degree to be conferred. Typically this is your last term/semester.

Icon of forward-facing arrowDegree Posting

This is the date by which your degree is posted, 30-44 days after the date of degree conferral.

Your degree must be posted in order for details to appear on your transcript. Prior to ordering a transcript, we recommend that you wait until you get official confirmation of your degree conferral to your Cal Lutheran email address.

Icon of starDiploma Delivery

This is the date by which you receive your diploma, an estimated timeframe based on degree posting date. Typically 30 days after degree posting.

Outstanding fees and nonpayment can cause delays. For more information, please see Transcripts & Diplomas.
