"From Page to the Stage: The Process Performing Shakespeare"

FREE PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE INTENSIVE!

CALLING ALL STUDENTS: Learn through active workshops on California Lutheran University campus the process of putting together a Shakespeare performance using A Midsummer Night's Dream. Students will learn character work, scansion, stage speech, and get an opportunity to perform in front of their peers.

While meeting students from different local high schools, students will get to learn under CLU student directors, professors, and professional Shakespeare actors.

Local high school and community college theater students, teachers and their family members are invited to attend the CLU's Mainstage production of A Midsummer Night's Dream on our opening preview night and stay for a Talk Back with cast and crew afterwards.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Join the California Lutheran University Theatre and Dance Department for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a timeless Shakespearean comedy brought to life by talented student performers. Directed by senior theatre major Hadley Julca, this student-directed production combines inventive staging, dynamic performances and a magical journey through love, mischief and the wonders of the forest.


Admission is free, but reservations are strongly encouraged as seating in the Black Box Studio Theatre is limited. Don’t miss this enchanting spring production by our emerging theatre artists!
