Internship Stipend

Project VITAL is excited to offer stipends for undergraduate domestic students pursuing unpaid or underpaid internships beginning in the summer of 2024. Internship stipends range from $500-$4,000.

Internships must start no earlier than May 11, 2024 and end no later than August 27, 2024. This semester-long cost-of-living stipend provides funding to students who secure either on-campus or external internships. While preference will be given to students in the VITAL Focus Mentorship Program, participation will not be limited exclusively to these students. Additionally, priority will be given to Latinx and/or low-income students as these are the target populations of the VITAL grant.

Stipends are open to students pursuing internships related to their future careers or current fields of study, ensuring that the internships are aligned with their academic and professional goals. We invite you to review the below eligibility and frequently asked questions to find out if you are eligible to apply.

This stipend is not intended to replace or substitute Federal Work-Study funds. It is designed to alleviate financial contraints for students to attain internships geared toward their career or vocational goals.

The internship stipend application is open now through July 31, 2024.
